What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a browser. Similar technologies include local storage, pixels and device or advertising identifiers. They can be used to provide a requested service, remember choices, prevent abuse, measure advertising and, where permitted, personalise advertising.
Current CricLens setup
The public CricLens website does not currently use audience-analytics cookies. The private administrator interface may use browser session storage to retain an administrator token within that browser session. CricLens is also prepared for Google AdSense and Google's Privacy & messaging CMP, but the Google advertising site tag is loaded only when explicitly enabled in the deployment configuration.

Google advertising technologies
When AdSense is enabled, Google may use cookies such as advertising cookies described in Google's own documentation. Google states, for example, that IDE and id may last 13 months in the EEA, Switzerland and the UK, while _gads may last 13 months. The exact technologies used can depend on browser state, geography, ad settings and Google's services.

Consent in the EEA, UK and Switzerland
When advertising is enabled for visitors in these regions, CricLens is intended to use Google Privacy & messaging, a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The consent interface is configured in the CricLens AdSense account. Where the interface is shown, users can consent, refuse consent or manage purposes and providers according to the options made available in the CMP.
Change or withdraw your choice
When the Google consent API is active, the site footer shows a Privacy & cookie settings control. Selecting it reopens the applicable consent flow so eligible users can change or withdraw previous choices. You can also delete or block cookies using your browser settings.
Third-party cookies
Third-party technologies are governed by the relevant provider's own privacy and cookie information. CricLens does not control the names or lifetimes of third-party cookies and those details can change when providers update their services.
