Who controls your data
The data controller for this website is the operator of CricLens at criclens.app. For privacy questions, rights requests or requests for additional controller information, use the Contact page.
What CricLens is
CricLens is a cricket statistics and analytics website. Public pages do not currently require an account and do not ask visitors to create a profile or submit personal information through a public web form.
Hosting, security and server logs
When you visit CricLens, the hosting and server infrastructure may process technical data such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser or network information, response status and error logs. This processing is necessary to deliver the website, maintain security, investigate abuse, diagnose errors and keep the service reliable. Technical logs are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for those purposes and may also be subject to the hosting provider's own retention practices.
Email contact
If you contact CricLens by email, the information you provide is processed to read, manage and answer your enquiry. Please do not include sensitive personal information unless it is genuinely necessary.
Cookies and consent choices
CricLens does not currently use audience-analytics cookies on its public pages. The site is prepared to use Google's Privacy & messaging consent management platform when Google AdSense is enabled. Where the consent platform applies, it may use cookies or browser storage that are necessary to record and respect your privacy choices. You can review the categories and purposes in the Cookie Policy.
Advertising and Google AdSense
CricLens is technically prepared for Google AdSense. The Google advertising site tag is loaded only when it has been explicitly enabled in the site's deployment configuration. When AdSense is active, Google and its advertising partners may receive information such as the page URL, IP address, browser/device information and advertising identifiers, and may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, limit, secure and measure advertising. In regions where consent is legally required, non-essential advertising purposes are subject to the choices presented through the consent management platform.
For more information about how Google processes information from sites using its services, see How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Legal bases
Operational and security processing is carried out where necessary to provide and protect the website and on the basis of legitimate interests in operating a secure, reliable service. Email correspondence is processed to respond to the request you make. Where applicable law requires consent for advertising cookies, local storage or personalised advertising, CricLens relies on the consent choices collected through the CMP.
Recipients and service providers
Personal data may be processed by infrastructure and service providers that help operate CricLens. When enabled, Google acts as a provider of advertising and consent-management technologies. CricLens does not sell personal data to advertisers.
International processing
Some service providers may process information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, providers are expected to use legally recognised safeguards for international transfers. Their own privacy documentation explains their processing and transfer arrangements.
Your rights
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, data portability and withdrawal of consent. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal. You may also have the right to complain to the competent data-protection authority in your country.
Changing privacy and cookie choices
When the Google consent platform is active, eligible users can revisit their choices using the Privacy & cookie settings control shown in the site footer. Browser controls can also be used to delete or block cookies, although doing so may affect some website or advertising functionality.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated as CricLens adds services, analytics, advertising, accounts or payment features. The date at the top of this page will be changed when a material update is published.
